We chose 2500W at 400V for a reason: industrial power density. Running at 400V means it pulls less current than a 230V version. That’s good news—you can use smaller cables, and you won’t be stressing your contactors. The 300mm length gives you a tight, focused beam of heat. But here’s the trade-off—that element runs hot. So you need to make sure there’s enough airflow or shielding around what you’re heating. This isn’t some plug-and-play heater you set and forget. It’s a proper system component.
Built to Last: Halogen, Quartz, and the R7s Connection
The halogen cycle does a neat trick—it keeps the quartz envelope clean, so the heat output stays steady over the life of the lamp. And the quartz tube? It’s tough. It handles rapid heating and cooling cycles without cracking, which is more than I can say for regular glass. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a straight, bi-pin setup that makes wiring quick and repeatable. It locks the tube in place without extra clamps, so you get a solid connection that can actually handle the pounding of a vibrating machine.
Where It Shines: PET Blowing and Other Tight Spots
Take PET blowing, for example. You need to heat the preform fast, right where it matters, without turning the whole machine into a sauna. This heater’s short-wave radiation hits the preform’s surface directly. The result? Quick response and better temperature control. It’s compact enough to fit into tight spots, and the R7s termination makes it a straight swap. Just remember—with that kind of heat density, you’ve got to plan for proper cooling around the assembly.
