What’s Under the Hood
Here’s the thing about how it works—it’s surprisingly simple. It plugs right into a standard wall outlet, using the same power as a household lamp (220-240V) and pulls between 300W and 500W. That’s just enough to warm up a small nursery fast, without ever feeling like you’re running a power plant. The tube itself is kept short, usually under 300mm. That tiny footprint means it can fit into snug spaces and be mounted almost anywhere, out of the way, while still sending the warmth exactly where you need it.
The Design, Up Close
We use a quartz glass tube, filled with a clever halogen gas cycle. It lets the element run hot without burning out quickly, so you get reliable heat for thousands of hours. The tube is also coated to cut down on glare and shift the light toward safer infrared wavelengths. And the R7s connector? That’s the unsung hero. It’s a double-ended ceramic base that holds the tube steady and handles the heat expansion without cracking. It just works.
Why It Works So Well
When you’re heating a baby’s room, you need it to be quiet and clean. Infrared heat does that beautifully. It warms up the surfaces and the people in the room directly, without blowing dust around or drying out the air.
