Because we use a parabolic reflector, the warmth is pushed straight down in a focused beam. You feel it the second you step under it, but your ceiling fixtures stay cool.
The Honest Trade-off
Now, here is the honest truth: nothing is perfect. Because those protective coatings block some light, they also soak up a tiny bit of the heat. A “soft-light” bulb isn’t quite as raw and powerful as a clear one. But we didn’t just leave it at that. We tweaked the shape of the filament to make up the difference.
